Mary Ellen Carr Mondt, 68, of Goodlettsville, died Wednesday July 27, 2016 at St. Thomas Mid-Town Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday July 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. Her grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mondt was born April 22, 1948 in Robertson County to Mary Elizabeth Gregory Carr and the late Howard Carr. She was a retired Aircraft Mechanic from Boeing and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Madison. Mrs. Mondt enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, and decorating. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son: Eric Richards.
Mrs. Mondt is survived by her husband: Andrew Mondt of Goodlettville, sons and daughters-in-law: Stan and Rhonda Cherry of Hendersonville, David and Paula Cherry of Gallatin, daughters: Kathy Lamkin and Angela Hunt both of New Mexico, daughter-in-law: Jessie Richards of Cedar Hill, mother: Mary Elizabeth Gregory Carr Lipscomb of Springfield, sisters: Frances Adcock of Springfield, Doretha Carr of Springfield, and Mildred Groves of Portland, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
