Lillie Reese Obituary

Lillie Mae Gourley Reese, 84, of Springfield, died Thursday May 24, 2018 at McKendree Healthcare in Hermitage. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday May 27th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Marvin Crouch officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in White House with William Wright, Samuel Wright, Brent Hedgcoth, James Hedgcoth, Ken Beyer, and Mark Atwell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Eli Atwell. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reese was born February 17, 1934 in White House to the late Herman Joseph and Jessie Mae O'Neal Gourley. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ. Mrs. Reese enjoyed going to church, quilting, sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Paul Melvin Reese, and her brothers: Raymond and Jodie Gourley.

Mrs. Reese is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Camellia Webb of Madison, Krista Reese and Ken Beyer of Bossier City, LA, Karroll Wright of Spring Hill, and Deidree and Mark Atwell of Nashville, her sister-in-law: Mary Ann Hagan and husband: Dr. George Hagan of Madison, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, with her sixth great grandchild soon to arrive.
