Katherine Eden

Mary Kathleen "Katherine" Eden, 92, of Springfield, died Thursday December 8, 2016 at The Waters of Robertson. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday December 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Diane Coppock officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Robert Alley, George Plumlee, Brian Eden, Jared Eden, and Donnie Nicholson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Eden was born May 2, 1924 in Robertson County to the late James Wesley and Mary Frances Moore Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of Palestine United Methodist Church. Mrs. Eden loved flowers and was always known for her green thumb. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Reynolds Eden, and by her sister: Frances Eden.

Mrs. Eden is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Larry Joe and Jane Eden of Springfield, Stephen Reynolds and Rosemary Eden of Springfield, sisters: Marjorie Jones of Springfield and Margaret Savley of Greenbrier, four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
