Joe Youngblood

Joe Lynn Youngblood, 78, of Springfield, died Sunday January 21, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Youngblood was born September 11, 1939 in Springfield to the late Ben and Marie Hancock Youngblood. He graduated from Chattanooga High School and then served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Youngblood retired from Unarco, where he was a machine mechanic. He enjoyed genealogy, archeology, collecting old movies and Hardy Boy books. He was a member of the Springfield Dance Studio, and enjoyed participating with his fellow dancers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Bill Youngblood.

Mr. Youngblood is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Jack and Marsha Youngblood of Fredericksburg, VA, nieces: Kelly Youngblood of Chattanooga, Sarah Larochelle of Fredericksburg, VA, nephew: Scott Youngblood of California, and great niece: Hannah Larochelle of Fredericksburg, VA
