Homer Wilson Pitt, age 94 of Nashville, and formerly of Robertson and Montgomery Counties, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at the home of his son in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Stoecker and Pastor Jamie Mandrell officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Mark Pitt, Dom Fanello, Trey Spraker, Chase Rossiter, Craig Rossiter, and Ray Wilson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Lane, Les Rossiter, Jimmy Pitt, and Tommy Wilson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Pitt was born February 12, 1923 in Cross Plains to the late Jerry W. and Myrtle Dowell Pitt. He was a member of Clarksville First United Methodist Church, was a heavy equipment supervisor and Ft. Campbell, and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Sue Wilson Pitt; brothers, William Pitt and Joseph Byrns Pitt, Sr.; and sisters, Sandy Jones and Hattie Mae Wilson.
He is survived by his son Mark Pitt of Nashville.
