Ella K. Drake

Ella K. Drake, 92, of Orlinda, passed away Friday September 28, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Milldale Chapel with Dr. Joel Emerson officiating. Interment will follow in Orlinda Cemetery with Brad Drake, Kevin Drake, Tom Graef, Cliff Duke, and Buddy Sneed serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Drake was born August 20, 1926 in Hosmer, SD to the late Albert W. and Lillian L. Herrboldt Kunde. She was a homemaker and had also worked as a school secretary for the Robertson County Board of Education. Mrs. Drake was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Franklin, KY. She enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, knitting, playing the piano, and making baby blankets to give to others. Mrs. Drake was a former den mother for Orlinda Cub Scouts, and she enjoyed all animals that came to her home, where they knew they would always find food.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James W. Drake. Mrs. Drake is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Mark W. and Janna Drake of Nolensville, her daughter: Sue E. Drake of Orlinda, her grandchildren: Brad, Kevin, and Rebecca Drake, and by her great grandchildren: Miller and Hunter Drake.
