Wilmoth Dean (Heatherly) Minnis

February 18, 1936 ~ May 17, 2019 (age 83)

Wilmoth Dean Minnis, age 83 of Springfield, died Friday, May 17, 2019 at NorthCrest Medical center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeffrey Barnhart, Tyler Barnhart, Jacob Barnhart, Monty Head, Branden Hollis, and Jay Barbee serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Mrs. Minnis as born February 18, 1936 in Robertson County to the late Hooper and Pauline Baldwin Heatherly. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from the union of Textron Aerospace. She loved camping and gardening and just being outdoors. She also enjoyed cooking and decorating for the holidays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amber Barnhart.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Minnis of Springfield; sons, Tony Minnis and John Minnis, both of Springfield; daughters, Vicky Bradley and Rita Warren, both of Springfield; brother, Jewel Heatherly and wife, Joyce of Springfield; sisters, Helen Thaxton and husband, Ray and Joyce Ellis and husband, Barry, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Miranda Head, Avery Hollis, and Jada Bradley; and great grandchildren, Jeffrey Barnhart, Tyler Barnhart, Jacob Barnhart, Maddie Head, Paisley Hollis, Nevaeh Barbee, and Brahmin Barbee.
