Sue Joyce (West) Rippie

Sue Joyce Rippie, age 80 of Greenbrier, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 7, 2019at 12:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Heflin officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brian Rippie, Shawn Barker, troy Williams, Jay Shutt, Michael Shutt, and Eddie McAllister, Jr. serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 9 AM until the hour of service.

Mrs. Rippie was born June 3, 1938 in Robertson County to the late Pope and Lucille Durham West. She was a member of Eastland Heights Baptist Church and was retired from Atwood. She loved spending time shopping and just riding around. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Rippie, and her brother, Bobby West.

She is survived by her sons, Bo Rippie and wife Connie of Springfield and Terry Rippie and girlfriend Jessie Vaughn of Madison; daughters, Marcia Williams and husband Troy of Springfield and Lisa Barker and husband Shawn of Greenbrier; 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
