Roy Eugene Ivie

Roy Eugene Ivie, 50, of Cedar Hill, passed from this life on Monday April 22, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday April 27th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Roy was born August 4, 1968 in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from George County High School in Lucedale, MS in 1987. He was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Roy loved singing and listening to music and watching movies. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, where he enjoyed laughing and teasing all of them. The joy of his heart was his daughter and his grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his father: Jerry Lee Ivie, and by his nephew: Daniel Jones.

Roy is survived by his daughter: Stephanie Ivie of Gulf Shores, AL, his mother: Louise Yvonne Dawson Swint of Cedar Hill, his sister: Lisa Jones of Cedar Hill, his brother: Robert Swint of Cedar Hill, his nephews: David and Jeremy Jones, by his grandchildren: Jacob Ivie, Gracie Ivie, and Christian Bova, by other extended family, and by his best buddy, Max, his cat.
