Roger B. Krancer, age 75 of Springfield, died Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Patrick Nix officiating. Burial services will be private for the family in Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Edwin Lance, Matthew Green, Fred Rich, Dustin Wood, Donnie Rogers, and Brain J. Lance serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Framer, Harold Reeves, Parker Merrritt, and Connor Green. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Krancer was born January 9, 1944 in Tucson, AZ to the late Herbert and Elizabeth Palmer Krancer. He was a graduate of Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY and was a retired salesman for Werner Frank Enterprises. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam and obtained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was a coin collector and enjoyed working out in his yard and playing solitaire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Maggie Hobbs, and a brother-in-law, Billy Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Velda Krancer of Springfield; brothers, Mark Krancer of Birmingham, AL and Anthony Krancer of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Connor Green, Parker Merrritt, and Meagan Hobbs; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Connie and Fred Rich of Bowling Green, KY, Sue Adams of Cedar Hill, Timmy and Tina Adams of Homestead, FL and Larry Adams of Homestead, FL.
