Paul Kempf Fuquay

Paul Kempf Fuquay Sr, age 90, of Greenbrier passed away on June 28,2019. He was born on February 21, 1929 in Robertson county to the late Alonzo Ellis Fuquay, and Eva Rose Wilson Hancock Fuquay . He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Jewel Wooden Fuquay, his children Eva Jones, Paul Jr (Brenda), Donald (Fanta), and Deborah Hart (John), along with 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Paul served in the United States Navy from 1947 until his retirement in 1975 at the rank of Lieutenant, with duty stations across the world. He was presented with the Navy Commendation Medal for his exceptional performance of duty, pride in his profession, and capacity for service.

Paul was an avid reader, and the family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Stokes Brown Public Library in Springfield, or to your own public library, in his name.

Private graveside memorial services with military honors will be held for the family at a later date.

Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
