Paul Brown Obituary
Paul R. Brown, age 85 of Springfield, died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Richard Brown, Ernest Brown, Connor Brown, Michael Gregory, Fred Jones, and Gerald Sand serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
Mr. Brown was born February 6, 1934 in Robertson County to the late Paul Lee and Whitty Ann Krisle Brown. He was a member of Robertson County Church of Christ and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service where he was in the Navy SeaBees Construction Crew and worked as a heavy equipment operator. After that he worked at Porter Brown Limestone and then was a mechanic at Carolina Freight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Janice Briggs Brown, and his daughter, Cheryl Brown Clinard Hutchison.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Lee Brown of White House and Ernest D. Brown and wife Jennifer of Gallatin; sisters, Emily Sand and Judy Jackson, both of Springfield; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
