Paul Ardine Bailey, 78, of Stewart, passed away on Thursday December 5, 2019 at St. Thomas West Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday December 8th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Orlinda with Willie Scott, Clayton Bailey, Fisher Bailey, Hunter Bailey, Anthony Barber, Jesse Wilson, and Matt Foust serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Bailey was born July 19, 1941 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Paul Leslie and Sadie Lee Furlough Bailey. He was retired from the graphics department of NEC and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Bailey enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, operating his backhoe, and was an avid UT Vols fan. The main two loves of his life was spending time with his family and cooking and eating bar-b-q and chicken.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Billie Jean Barnes and Betty June King. Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of 58 years: Christine Scott Bailey of Stewart, by his sons and daughters-in-law: Leslie Paul and Lisa Bailey of Kingston Springs, William Christopher and Donna Bailey of Chapmansboro, Scott and Judy Bailey of Pleasant View, by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
