Lorelle Dunn Groves

Lorelle Dunn Groves, age 97 of Springfield, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Bill Groves, Joe Groves, Ed Groves, Jerry Groves, Jeff Groves, and Larry Knight serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2 until 7 PM and Friday from 9 AM until the hour of service.
Mrs. Groves was born August 14, 1920 in Robertson County to the late James A. and Charlie Moore Hayes Dunn. She was a member of Main St. Church of Christ, was a retired bookkeeper, and also sold Tupperware for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Groves; a granddaughter, Lea Ann Groves; and a great grandson, Jordan Stark.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Groves of Cross Plains, Joe Groves and wife Sandy of Springfield, Ed Groves and wife Joy of Springfield, Jerry Groves of Springfield, and Jeff Groves and wife Trudy of Springfield; daughters, Nancy G. Bees of Holly, MI, Joyce G. Knight and husband Larry of Greenbrier, and Polly G. Vaughn of Portland; Brother, Jimmy Dunn of Madison; sisters, Frankie Murphy of Bellevue and Linda Teasley and husband Joe of Chapmansboro; sisters-in-law, Dot Fuqua of Springfield and Jean Keith of Springfield; 23 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Main St. Church of Christ. All donations may be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
