Lerlene Edwards Wilson, 83, of Springfield, passed away on Monday January 14, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday January 17th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Don Sensing officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Les Rossiter, Craig Rossiter, Chase Rossiter, Robert Wilson, Mark Pitt, Jim Williams, Cayman Wilson, and Terry Martin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Wilson, Jimmy Dorris, Randy Lane, and Rob Odum. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilson was born June 17, 1935 in Robertson County to the late Buford and Leona Binkley Edwards. She was a retired bookkeeper from Super X/Revco and was a member of Greenbrier United Methodist Church. She always loved spending time with her friends and family. Thursday was always her hair dresser and Cracker Barrel day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Paul G. Wilson, and by her brother: Donald Edwards.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her son: Ray Gordon Wilson and fiancée Fredia Utley of Springfield, her daughter: Lillie Rossiter and husband Les of Springfield, her grandchildren: Robert Wilson, Craig and Chase Rossiter, and by her great grandchildren: Kaylee and Cayman Wilson.
