Freeman Crawford

Ottis Freeman Crawford, 93, of Springfield, passed away Saturday December 1, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday December 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Ralph, Pastor Ricky Morris, and Brother David Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Sharon Cemetery with Billy Crawford, Joshua Crawford, Cody Crawford, Lim Chol, Buddy Haggerman, and Adam Clouse serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Crawford and Paul Bracey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Crawford was born August 11, 1925 in Robertson County to the late Eddy Howard and Pearlie Lee Ledbetter Crawford. He was a retired Pressman from McQuiddy Printing and was a member of Red River Assembly of God Church. After his retirement, Mr. Crawford then worked for Payne Brothers in Springfield. He loved antiques, farming, cutting wood, drinking coffee, and driving all over Robertson County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives: Jean Marie Crawford and Charlotte Marie Holliaday Crawford, his grandson: Steven Crawford, and his siblings: Pierce Warner Crawford, Virginia Lee Atkisson, Cleo Bloodworth, Ophia Mae Brown, and Howard Crawford.

Mr. Crawford is survived by his sons: Freeman Stephen (Peggy) Crawford of Nashville, Eddie Howard Crawford of Grand Rapids, MI, David Keith (DeAnna) Crawford of Greenbrier, brother: Wayne Crawford of Louisville, KY, sister: Juanita McClintock of Old Hickory, grandchildren: Billy Crawford, Joshua Crawford, Danielle Chol, Cody Crawford.
