Edward Swinson Jr.

Edward Swinson Jr, also known as “Mr. Ed” died Saturday August 24, 2019 at NHC Springfield. His remains are at the Robertson County Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Friday August 30, 2019 officiated by Rossi Bennett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am until 11:45 pm.

Mr. Ed was born January 6, 1939 in Jacksonville, NC to the late Edward Swinson Sr and Ardell Jenkins Swinson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Wilson Swinson, son, Grayson Swinson Sr and siblings, Sarah Flynn, Nellie Batson, Claudie Swinson, Leon Swinson, Samuel Swinson, Charlotte Osborne, Lillie Coleman and Mary Barber.  He was a member of North Springfield Baptist Church, a veteran of the National Guard and was retired from TDOT where he worked in road construction. Mr. Ed loved to travel and in his younger years did so many times by hitch hiking. He was a collector of coins, guns, antiques and especially loved watching westerns.

Surviving him are his sons, Jeff Swinson and Benji Swinson Sr., daughter, Debbie Kehres, siblings, Susan Davis, Cybil Marshburn and Kenny Swinson, grandchildren, Christina (Chris) Heard, Jody (Kuk) Son, Ashley Kehres, Grayson Swinson Jr., Brandy Swinson, Richard Kehres, Justin Kehres, Benji Swinson Jr. and Alescia Swinson, great grandchildren, Charissa Heard, Kayleigh Ayers, Kylie Swinson, Kinsley Hardin, Khyree Bryant, Joseph Son, Kira Son and Angie Nguyen.
