Earl Leon Cothron, age 85 of Greenbrier, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Mat 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeff Warren, Matt Holland, Kody Ruck, Winston Winchester, Terry Hinkle, and Harold Hooper, Jr. serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4 until 8 PM and Friday from 11 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Cothron was born May 21, 1933 in Macon County to the late Brink Monroe and Alverda Nelson Cothron. He was a member of Greenfield Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Peterbilt Motor Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of UAW 1832. He loved spending time riding around in his truck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ann Barrow Cothron; a brother, Gillespie Cothron; and a sister, Bonnie McClard.
He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Warren and husband Jeff, Christy Carter, and Connie Ruck and husband David, all of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Mandy Warren, Brandi Warren, Matthew Holland, Brooke Carver, Kody Ruck, and Kensey Ruck; and 12 great grandchildren.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
