Douglas William Buck, 67, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday January 16, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday January 19th at 2:00 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in White House with Pastor Randy Sakach officiating. Interment will be held on Monday January 20th at 2:00 p.m. (EST) in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in White House.
Mr. Buck was born June 10, 1952 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Robert William and Marjorie Brockmeier Buck. He was a retired Lieutenant with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in White House. Mr. Buck was a member of the Master Gardener’s and of the Bee Keeper’s Association. He enjoyed all aspects of history surrounding the Civil War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law: Milma Kramer. Mr. Buck is survived by his wife of 39 years: Sally Kramer Buck of Springfield, by his son and daughter-in-law: Adam and Laura Buck of Murfreesboro, by his daughter and son-in-law: Heidi and Daniel Anderson of Kingston, by his brother: David Buck of Arkansas, by his grandchildren: Robert Buck, Hunter Anderson, Kinley Anderson, and River Anderson, and by his father-in-law: Edward Kramer of Springfield.
