Dorothy Sadler Lindsey, 87, of Russellville, KY and formerly of Springfield, passed away on Monday August 12, 2019 at the home of her son in Russellville, KY. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday August 15th at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Gagliano officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Mark Lindsey, Jr., Matthew Lindsey, Micah Lindsey, Charles Lindsey, Jason Lindsey, Brandon Draughon, and John Lemonis serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lindsey was born February 14, 1932 in Jackson to the late William “Buster” and Dorothy Corrine Meadows Sadler. She served as Activity Director at Beverly Healthcare for several years, then she retired as Treasurer for Family Home Furnishings. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. Mrs. Lindsey enjoyed reading, cooking, decorating, and especially spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Gene Lindsey, by her sons: Mike and Mitchell Lindsey, and by her siblings: Charles Sadler, Terry Wayne Sadler, Iris Thompson, and Beverly Jean Sadler.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Patty Lindsey of Russellville, KY, her brothers: Don Sadler of Springfield and Tommy Joe Sadler of Jackson, by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
