Charles Ray Hand

Charles Ray Hand, 69, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday March 10, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 13th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Denson Cemetery with Brandon Sprouse, Tyler Sprouse, Dustin Johnson, Michael Allen Sprouse, Michael Johnson, and John Price serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Hand was born February 11, 1950 in Robertson County to the late Arthur and Geneva Pentecost Hand. He was a retired assembly manufacturer from Peterbilt and was a member of Mt. Denson Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Hand enjoyed knife and belt buckle collecting, wood working, and especially spending time with his grandchildren: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Geneva Kay Bilyeu Hand, by his daughter: Penny Kay Johnson, and by his siblings: Dorothy, Pauline, and Christine.

Mr. Hand is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Angel and Michael Sprouse of Springfield, his brother and sister-in-law: Jr. and Tiney Mae Hand of Springfield, his sister and brother-in-law: Annie and Joe Bilyeu of Springfield, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren
