Bessie Earlene Rawls Breeden, 75, of Greenbrier, passed away at her home on Monday March 11, 2019 following a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted Friday March 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Buddy Rawls officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Marcus Carter, Dwayne Rawls, Ronnie Clinard, Dudley Richardson, and Eric Rawls serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Breeden was born in Robertson County on November 28, 1943 to the late Willis and Earlene Proctor Rawls. She was a retired from the Operator Services division of AT&T and was a member of the former Fellowship Baptist Church in Ridgetop. Mrs. Breeden was a lifelong resident of Greenbrier and always exemplified a strong Christian faith. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, cooking, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband P.O. Breeden, her son: Jeffrey Breeden, and by her siblings: Richard Rawls and Lois DeSouza. Mrs. Breeden is survived by her sons: James “Bo” Breeden and Harrison Wayne Breeden both of Greenbrier, her daughter: Frances “Susie” Breeden Allen of Greenbrier, her brothers and sisters-in-law: Buddy and Gail Rawls of Springfield, Bob and Linda Rawls of Greenbrier, Ronnie Rawls of Springfield, Donny and Jean Rawls of Springfield, her sisters and brother-in-law: Elsie Mooneyhan and Linda Cohea both of Greenbrier, Martha (Melvin) Keith of Springfield, grandchildren: Christy Pennington, April (Jazz) Buggs, Kyle Davenport, and by 10 great grandchildren
