Audrey Brady Obituary

Audrey E. Hall Brady, 89, a previous resident of Springfield, passed away February 8, 2019 in Reno, Nevada.  Audrey will be returned to her roots and final resting place, Elmwood Cemetery in Springfield, the place on earth she loved the most in the spring where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Charles. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Thursday May 16, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with Tim Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside service on Thursday.

Audrey was born on June 15, 1929 in Springfield, Tennessee, the daughter of Ellis Earl Hall and Curtie Mae Ramsey. She was married to Charles Douglas Brady Jr. until his passing on August 22, 2001.  In 2012 she relocated to Reno, Nevada to be near her daughter.

First and foremost Audrey loved the Lord and her extended family and friends.  Her pets always brought her joy, and she had a passion for cooking, dancing, singing and bringing sunshine to others while welcoming everyone she met.  Her personality and unmistakable laughter filled every room. She made friends wherever she went and inspired them to enjoy each blessed day.  Audrey was a loyal, selfless, loving and devoted wife, mother and friend.  She approached every situation with a smile on her face.  Her admirable strength and courage will forever be an example to all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Harvey (Gerard) of Reno; son Charles Jeffrey Brady of Camdenton, Missouri; five granddaughters, and one grandson; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents and husband, Audrey was preceded in death by her brother Harold Hall; her sister Darlene Light; and close friend James Pribble.

She was a member of the North Springfield Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Springfield Baptist Church, 4732 Old US Hwy 41 N, Springfield, TN 37172.
