Arthur Earl “Buttons” Hudgens, 66, of Adams, departed this life on Wednesday December 18, 2019 at his residence. A Celebration of his life will be conducted on Monday December 23rd at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Frank Kirby and Pastor Johnny Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill with Charles Gardner, Curtis Walker, Jeffery Northington, and Veron Clemons as pallbearers. Flower Bearer’s will be the Mother Board of Star of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and Brenda Mauritz. Visitation with the family will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Hudgens was born September 20, 1953 in Cedar Hill to the late Arthur Washington and Delores Eloise Cooley Hudgens. He professed Christ at an early age and was a member of Star of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Adams. Mr. Hudgens was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School Class of 1971. He enjoyed listening to music, fishing, and watching his Oakland Raider’s play football.
Mr. Hudgens leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Carolyn Gardner Hudgens of Adams, his daughter: Kim Hudgens of Springfield, his step-daughter: Danielle Traylor, his step-grandchildren: Aaliyah and Isaiah Taylor, his dear friend: Frank Kirby, and a host of cousins and friends.
