Alan Drew “Bucky” Sweatt, 58, of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday March 27, 2019 at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Memorial services will be conducted Monday April 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with his uncle, Billy Watkins, officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Alan was born February 14, 1961 in Springfield. He was a graduate of the Springfield High School Class of 1979. He served on the City of Springfield Zoning Appeals Board and was of the Church of Christ faith. Alan loved fishing and woodworking. He loved all his family and spending time with them, especially all the children. He was preceded in death by his father: Paul Clinton Sweatt, his sister: Patricia Sweatt Sloan, and by his step-father: William Porter Parks.
Alan is survived by his wife in love: Brandi Reynolds Sweatt of Springfield, his mother: Emma Dian Watkins Parks of Springfield, his children he raised: Logan Wayne Birdwell and Kimberly Ann Traughber both of Springfield, his brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy Mac and Karen Sweatt of Springfield, Scott and Ginger Sweatt of Greenbrier, his sisters and brothers-in-law: Paula and Ron DeBerry of Gallatin, Pam and Jerry Worsham of Springfield, his step-siblings: Mike, Steve, David, Chris Parks, and Mary Gortney, his grandchild: William David Brown, Jr., and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Alan would not wish for flowers to be sent, but for donations to the love of his life, Brandi Reynolds.
