Mildred Fitts Obituary

Mildred Jeanette Hunt Fitts, age 86, of Cross Plains, passed from this life on Sunday December 31, 2023, at her home. Her wishes were to be cremated, and a private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date and her cremains will be buried in the Cross Plains Cemetery.

Mrs. Fitts was born April 5, 1937, in Clarksville, to the late Marvin and Dolly Darnell Hunt. She was a homemaker, and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in White House, where she was church pianist for many years. Mrs. Fitts loved gardening, traveling, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Everett Wayne Fitts, by her brother: Cecil Hunt, and by her grandson: Jonathan Clemmons.

Mrs. Fitts is survived by her daughter: Terrye (Jim Wright) Fitts of Cross Plains, by her grandchildren: Jeremy Sullivan and David (Jennifer) Sullivan, by her brother: Joe (Linda) Hunt of Ridgetop, and by her six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
