Jack R. Adams

Jack R. Adams, 82, of Cedar Hill, passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2024, at his home. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated, and his family will have a private memorial service at a future date.

Jack was born in Old Hickory, TN on June 16, 1941, to the late John Ryman and Ocie Walker Adams. He was a graduate of Erin High School Class of 1960, and then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Jack retired from Dupont after 35 years of service as an electrician. He loved playing golf with his buddies, fishing on Kentucky lake, and he enjoyed sports, especially basketball and the Vanderbilt Commodores. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: R.B. Adams, and by his sisters: Gladys Webster, Doris York, and Sue Holly. 

Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Troupe Adams of Cedar Hill, by his daughter: April Rives of Springfield, by his son: Jeff Adams and wife Katie of Ashland City, by his grandchildren: Zach Rives, Megan Rives, Ryman Adams, and Rhett Adams, and by his brother: Sam Adams of Old Hickory.
