Edna (Grant) Gray

Edna Lee Grant Gray, 82, of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday March 20, 2024, at her home. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday March 23rd at 12 noon in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tim Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Dustin Croslin, Daniel Robertson, Zach Robertson, Craig Russell, and Keith Slack. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Ms. Edna was born October 10, 1941, in Cedar Hill, to the late Hiram and Clarinda Dodson Grant. She was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School, was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Edna loved watching TV, and spending time with her family and her pets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Thomas “Bob” Gray, by her daughter: Teresa Annette Gray Duff, by her son-in-law: James Robert “Jimmy” Mayfield, by her siblings: Burney Hawkins Grant, Grady Grant, Calvin Grant, Bailey Grant, Clifton Grant, William Grant, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Jennie Ruth Traylor.

Ms. Edna is survived by her daughter: Cathy Gray Mayfield of Springfield, by her grandchildren: Tomyris Mayfield and Alex (Destinee) Duff, by her great grandchild: Hartlynn Duff, and by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
