Donald G. Rawls

Donald G. Rawls, age 74 of Springfield, TN, passed away on Sunday February 11, 2024, at his home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm on Monday February 19, 2024, in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Gary Dillard and Dr. J.B. Angus officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Terry Couts Sr, Donnie Baggett, Terry Couts Jr, Derek Couts, Johnny Tucker, Tyler Tangen, and Harley Eden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Wayne Dillard and Tyler “T.J’” Mitchell. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Rawls was born May 16, 1949, in Springfield, TN to the late Willis Gilford and Francis Earlene Proctor Rawls, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier, TN, was retired from the Tool and Die trade and he had a passion for camping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Richard Rawls, Lois DeSouza, Elsie Mooneyhan, Bessie Breeden, and Linda Kay Cohea.

 He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Jean Bilyeu Rawls, daughters, Donna Rawls Baggett, Lora Rawls Couts (Terry Sr), Stephanie “Tetter” Rawls Mitchell, brothers, Jerrell “Buddy” Rawls (Gail), Bobby Rawls (Linda), Ronnie Rawls, sister, Martha Rawls Keith (Melvin), grandchildren, Donnie Baggett (Cori), Brittany Baggett Dillard (Gary Wayne), Melody Couts Angus (James), Jessica Couts Tucker (Johnny), Terry Couts Jr. (Giselle), Derek Couts (Grace), Harley Eden (fiancé Chris Wix), Skylar Eden, Tyler “T.J.” Mitchell (Veronica) and nineteen great grandchildren.
