David Joshua Terrell Baker

David Joshua Terrell Baker, age 37, Springfield, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

He was born December 1, 1986, in Springfield and set his aspiration after graduation on becoming a chef. He was most proud of becoming Executive Chef for Suwannee Dining Hall where he managed his own team and created his own menu. David enjoyed being outside manning the grill with good music, friends, and family. Josh was always ready for a family event or holiday. He worked hard and enjoyed simple things in life. His passion was simply, his children, family, and cooking.

David was great at almost anything he did from sports to working with his hands building or repairing something, painting, and even bowling.

Preceding him in death is his father, Timothy Hutcherson, his grandparents Fannie Green and Claude Baker, His great grandparents Elnora and Irving Kendrick, Elizabeth Drake, and William R. Pulliam.

David is survived by his mother: Carol Baker Beckett, grandparents Patrick Edward “Pat” and Mary Jo Duke Hutcherson, his brother James Beckett II, sisters D’Erica Baker, Thomonica, Jada and Trinity Beckett. His aunt Carlene Baker and uncle Larry Baker. He was the proud father of Aliah, David Jr., Zariah, Zamari, SaMiah, Journee (Ebony Ratliff) and Isaiah Baker (Tabitha Pickett). Two nieces Izabella and Marcella. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
