Virgil Rader Harper

Virgil Rader Harper, age 68 of Springfield, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 PM until the hour of service.
Mr. Harper was born January 30, 1948 in Robertson County to the late Claude Harper and Louise Briley Harper Owens. He was of the Baptist faith and was well known in the community as an excellent mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Staci Harper Parks and brothers, Roy and James Harper.
He is survived by his sons, Monty Osborne and wife Jamie of Guymon, OK and Philip Osborne of Guymon, OK; daughters, Tracy Webb and husband Mike of Springfield and Ashley Harper of Guymon, Ok; brother, Robert Harper of Long Island, NY; sisters, Peggy Brown and husband Terry of Greenbrier and Patsy Ruley and husband Ben of Springfield; sister-in-law, Joan Harper of Gallatin; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. All donations can be sent and to Robertson County Funeral Home.
