Sandy Haywood Obituary

Sandy Jay Haywood, age 55 of Springfield, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Residence at Alive Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Freeman, Rev. Chris Stansell, and Chester Shrum officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Lee Shrum, John Shrum, Jeremey Hire, Lyle Taylor, Luke Robertson, Austin Jimenez, Daniel Smith, Jason Shrum, and Jeff Andre serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Haywood was born August 1, 1959 in Davidson County to the late Jasper David and Evelyn Dillon Haywood. He worked at Shrum Auto Salvage and attended Grace Baptist Church. IN addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie Haywood; a brother, Ricky David Haywood; and a sister, Heather Haywood. He is survived by his daughter, Lyn Haywood of Louisville; grandchildren, Austin Jay Jiminez, Kaila Andre, and Allison Isbell; brothers, Mike Haywood of Nashvlle and Bubba Haywood of Columbia; sisters, Terrie Shrum and husband, Chester, of Springfield and Nita Haywood of Hendersonville; sister-in-law, Debbie Haywood of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like give a special thanks to Bubba Haywood and David Haywood for their continuing care and support of Sandy.
