Peggy Ann Elmore Woolwine

Peggy Ann Elmore Woolwine, age 79 of Springfield, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Anderson Albritton, Sam Blankenship, Keith Chowning, Michael Hare, Jason Myers, Adam Chowning, Tyler Chowning, and Nic Dean serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service.
Mrs. Woolwine was born September 21, 1937 in Nashville to the late Otto. T. and Tessie Chandler Elmore. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was an accountant. She enjoyed collecting dolls, cookie jars, and antiques. She was also a dog breeder, especially shelties and miniature collies. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Michael David Chowning, and her brothers, Clayton, Bobby, and Billy Elmore.
She is survived by her husband, John Woolwine of Springfield; son, Randy Chowning and wife Lela of Greenbrier; daughters, Sheree Delk and husband James of Cleveland, Kaye Huff and husband Daniel of Springfield, and Michelle Myers and husband Jason of Pegram; daughter-in-law, Peggy Chowning of Pinson, AL; sister, Betty DeGeare of Springfield; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
