Pastor Steve Woody

Pastor Steven Lee "Steve" Woody age 54 of Springfield, TN, died Sunday November 12, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 15, 2017 at 10 am in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Donnie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Larry Osborne, Barry Yates, Billy Wayne Norris, Leano Chavez, Kenny Rawls and Bernard Armstead serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 pm and again on Wednesday from 9 am until time of service.
Pastor Steve was born September 12, 1963 in Robertson Co, TN to the late David and Nancy Brooksher Woody. He was called to the ministry serving Keysburg Baptist Church and then Lighthouse Baptist as Pastor. He enjoyed traveling and mission work, going to Brazil and Trinidad on mission trips and traveling to the Holy Land. He loved his family, but it should be said he loved serving people.
Surviving Steve are his wife, Kathleen Blackburn Woody of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Ranel and Lisa Woody of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Sheila Woody of Springfield; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Bill Colwell of Springfield and Brenda Lynn Atkins of Springfield and two granddaughters, Renee Woody and Paige Woody.
The family request donations be made to the Masters Table if so desired. All donations may be sent in care of the Robertson County Funeral Home.
