Marion Kathlean Bellar, 87, of Adams, died Monday September 1, 2014 at White Haven Assisted Living in Adams. Private family graveside services will be conducted in the Robertson County Memorial Gardens. Chaplain David King will officiate. Bobby Dean Bagby, Bill Jones, Dewayne Bellar, Michael Marvin, Clyde Richert, and Vishesh Chachra will serve as pallbearers. There will be no visitation with the family.
Mrs. Bellar was born February 18, 1927 in Robertson County to the late Thomas and Christine Braswell Nelson Caroland. She was a homemaker and was of the United Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bellar was preceded in death by two husbands. Her first husband, J.W. Porter, died accidently while working for the phone company. Her second husband, James W. Bellar, died in a farming tractor accident. Mrs. Bellar was also preceded in death by her son: Peter Michael Porter.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Bettye Lynn and Clyde Richert of Springfield, her brother: Tommy Caroland of Madison, grandchildren: Marissa Chachra and husband Vishesh, Jamie Marvin and husband Michael, Patrice Porter, Ruby Porter, and John Porter, great grandchild: James Chandler Marvin
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the North Crest Hospice or to the North Crest Foundation. All donations may be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
