Lucille Warren Callis

Lucille Warren Callis, 91, of Ridgetop, died Friday June 26, 2015 at White House Health Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 29th at 10:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Briggs and Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Dylan James, Benton Cooksey, Colton Cooksey, Houston Cooksey, Lanny Adcock, and Chester Frazier serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class at Highland Chapel Union Church, Robert Tate, Jason Ashworth, Braden Cooksey, and Bayler Cooksey. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Callis was born June 20, 1924 in Robertson County to the late Fawlie and Maybelle Belt Warren. She was a homemaker, a member of Highland Chapel Union Church in Ridgetop, and a member of the Ladies Aid Society at Highland Chapel. Mrs. Callis loved bowling, scrapbooking, flower arranging, reading her Bible daily, and especially loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Shannon Cooksey James, and by her siblings: James Warren, Marie Stash, and Nellie Lane.

Mrs. Callis is survived by her husband of 73 years: Forde L. Callis of Ridgetop, son and daughter-in-law: Ronald L. and Shane Callis of Ashland City, daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Burton Cooksey of Springfield, Camellia Joy and Mike Tate of Greenbrier, grandchildren: Chris (Talise) Cooksey, Warren (Kim) Cooksey, Robert Tate, April (Chris) Taylor, Jason Ashworth, and Shannon Lee Callis, 12 great grandchildren.
