Lucille Biggs Adcox

Lucille Biggs Adcox, 85, of Springfield, died Thursday March 12, 2015 at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Mikel and Rev. Diane Coppock officiating. A private family burial will be held in the Binkley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Adcox, Ethan Adcox, Mike Biggs, Kevin Dean, Robert Pruitt, Wayne Hall, and Jeff Adcox. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Adcox was born April 26, 1929 in Robertson County to the late Clarence David and Nancy Elizabeth Binkley Biggs. She worked at Hinkle Chair for twenty years, and then retired as an assembler from Nagle. Mrs. Adcox also was a care giver to the elderly. She was of the Free Will Baptist faith, and she enjoyed crocheting and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Albert Adcox, her son: Larry Adcox, and her sister: Hettie Sedar. Mrs. Adcox is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Brenda Adcox of Springfield, brother and sister-in-law: Heuland and Mary Biggs of Springfield, grandchildren: Tim Adcox and wife Ginger, Jeff Adcox, great grandchildren: Grace, Claire, and Ethan Adcox.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church building fund.
