Loyd B. Dorris

Loyd Bernice Dorris, 87, of Greenbrier, died Friday February 5, 2016 at Golden Living in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 8th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Sister Linda Hatcher and Brooke Dorris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Nicky Dorris, Elliott Dorris, George Haynes, Steven Dorris, Jerry Baggett, and Ralph Simmons serving as pallbearers. . The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Dorris was born December 26, 1928 in Robertson County to the late Herman Clark and Annie Bollinger Dorris. He was a retired press operator with Nashville Bridge Company and was a member of Wartrace United Methodist Church. Mr. Dorris enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives: Mary Jane Faulk Dorris and Shirley Dorris. Mr. Dorris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Bernice and Vicki Dorris of Smyrna, grandchildren: Brandy Dorris, Brooke Dorris, Ashley Koss, Matthew Corlew, and Jason Corlew, great grandchildren: Peyton, Ava, and Drennon Corlew
