Lorene O. Knight

Lorene O. Knight, age 86 of Springfield, died Monday August 10, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday August 12th in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Woody, Dr. Steve Freeman and Dr. Fred Hembree officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Dwayne Sword, Jacob Peach, Trenton Peach, Jason Walker, Chris Walker, and Austin Dean serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Harlen Cobb. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Mrs. Knight was born May 19, 1929 in Robertson Co., TN to the late Amos and Gertie Osborne Matherly. Her husband, Bailey Brown Knight, son, Edward Brown Knight, brother, Melvin Matherly and sister, Pauline Burney also preceded her in death.
She loved to dance, her dogs Charlie and Baby Dog and spending time with her family sharing in food and fellowship
Surviving Mrs. Knight are her son and daughter-in-law, Bailey Bryant and Cindy Knight of Springfield; daughters and sons-in-laws, Linda and Fred Henrick of Springfield, Carol and Randy Joe Woody of Springfield and Lisa and Paul Walker of Cedar Hill; sister, Faye Castelow of Goodlettsville; grandchildren, Jeff Dean, Kim Peach, Melissa Sword, Brandi Vetetoe, Jason Walker, Matthew Knight, Michelle Wyatt and Chris Walker, twenty-one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
