Leslie Norris Earheart, age 69 of Cedar Hill, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Earheart, Rev. Jim Capps, and Rev. Rickey Page officiating. Following the service his remains will be cremated. Tom Adkins, Jeff Heatherly, John Mark Hendricks, Drew Wilson, Mark Tillman, and former football players for Jo Byrns will be honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3 until 7 PM and Tuesday from 9 AM until the hour of service at 11 AM.
Mr. Earheart was born October 22, 1945 in Davidson County to Reese Earheart of Cottontown and the late Lois Nadine Stephens Earheart. He was a member of Adams United Methodist Church and Western Star Lodge #9 in Springfield. He retired in 2013 as teacher and football coach at Jo Byrns.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Linda S. Earheart of Cedar Hill; sons, Chuck Earheart and wife India and Chris Earheart and wife Brandy, both of Cedar Hill; daughters, Emily Schmittou and husband Brad of Clarksville, Ellen Harris and husband Larry of Cedar Hill, and Erin Vandergriff and husband Billy of Cedar Hill; brothers, Mark Earheart and wife Mary Dawn of Dresden, Joel Earheart and wife Tracy of Mobile, AL, and Andy Earheart and wife Ann of Big Sandy; sisters, Teri Williams and husband Larry of Cottontown and Susan Earheart of Murray, KY; and grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Earheart, Fulton Earheart, Kelly Field, Gabe Field, Kathryn Schmittou, Charlie Schmittou, Kyra Schmittou, Brody Schmittou, Sinjin Clinard, Reese Earheart, Sammy Earheart, Lois Vandergriff, Lilah Vandergriff, and Lucy Vandergriff.
