Joe Epley

Joseph Neal "Joe" Epley, 73, of Greenbrier, died Wednesday October 26, 2016 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday October 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Gagliano officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Ty Epley, Randel Sanchez, Kyle Epley, Brent Epley, Kip Epley, and Joseph Sanchez serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Epley was born November 12, 1942 in Sumner County to the late Ernest and Louise Justice Epley. He was a retired electrician from IBEW Local 429. Mr. Epley was a longtime member of South Haven Baptist Church. He had a great love for missions, and has a school in Haiti named in his honor, Ecole Chretienne PaPi Joe do Coupon. He loved family game night with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Ginger Gale Epley.

Mr. Epley is survived by his wife of 49 years: Gale Ashburn Epley of Greenbrier, son and daughter-in-law: Ty and Robin Epley of Greenbrier, daughter and son-in-law: Jody and Randel Sanchez of Springfield, brother and sister-in-law: Bob and Lisa Epley of Hendersonville, sister and brother-in-law: Brenda and Clifford DePriest of Cottontown, grandchildren: Kyle, Brent, Kip, and Katrina Epley, Elyssa and Joseph Sanchez.
