Jeanette Holman Obituary

Jeanette M. Holman, age 92 of Springfield, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Springfield Heights Assisted Living. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Springfield First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Leonard Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 noon until the hour of service.
Mrs. Holman was born June 26, 1925 in Westel, TN to the late George and Grace Kindred McLean. She was a member of Springfield First Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She was involved in several community service organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts, and Master's Table. She also worked in several areas that supported the American Cancer Society and was co-founder of COPE. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Holman; a son, Preston Gaines Holman; and a daughter, Rita Holman French.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Forrest William and Trish Holman of Springfield, Spencer Frost and Tanya Holman of Goodlettsville, Russell Price and Kate Holman of Springfield, and Brian Thomas Holman of Springfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Holman and Gary Baldwin of Springfield, Cynthia Holman and Brent Tate of Springfield, and Celeste Holman and Randy Holland of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Lela Knight Holman of Greenbrier; foster daughter and foster son-in-law, Beth Long and Terry Dugan of Lilburn, GA; brother, Jim McLean of Nashville; sisters, Geraldine Burton of Hendersonville and Mary Lynn Knox of Carthage; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
The family request memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
