James Burgan Obituary
James Barton Burgan, 91, of Springfield, died Saturday August 23, 2014 at North Crest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday August 26th at 2:00 p.m. at South Haven Baptist Church with Dr. Frank Gagliano officiating. Interment will follow in Robertson County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 noon until service time at the Church.
Mr. Burgan was born October 29, 1922 in McAlester, OK to the late Sydney and Ruby Hatcher Burgan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having fought in Normandy during WWII. He was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. Mr. Burgan loved to fish and enjoyed playing softball in his younger days.
Mr. Burgan is survived by his wife of 65 years: Flora Brown Burgan of Springfield, daughter: Mary Ann Good of White House, grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Chris and Lisa Good of Cedar Hill, four great grandchildren
