Jackie Lee Dorris

Jackie Lee Dorris, 64, of Greenbrier, died Friday April 15, 2016 at the home of his mother in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday April 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Hubbard and Sister Linda Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery with Brian Dorris, Curtis Mayberry, Nicholas Dorris, Michael Paul Dorris, Travis Dorris, Randy Smith, and David Dorris serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Dorris was born September 6, 1951 in Springfield to Betty Draughon Dorris and the late Virgil Willis Dorris. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam. He was a maintenance worker at Springfield Electrolux and attended Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Dorris loved photography and woodworking. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife: Dorris Ann Dorris.

Mr. Dorris is survived by his mother: Betty Draughon Dorris of Springfield, brothers and sisters-in-law: David and Shannon Dorris of Cedar Hill, Terry Scott and Dianna Dorris of Springfield, Paul and Brenda Dorris of Watertown, Mike and LeAnne Dorris of Springfield, special nephews: Brian and Travis Dorris, step-grandchildren: Curtis Mayberry and Keria Ledford.
