Helen Ruth Wallace Shutt

Helen Ruth Wallace Shutt, age 75 of Springfield, TN died Monday December 12, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday December 15, 2016 at 2 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Chaplain Josh Whitson officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Timothy Shutt, Steven Pentecost, James Shutt, Joshua Shutt, Ben Shutt, and Dakota Shutt serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and again on Thursday from 9 am until the hour of service at 2 pm.
Mrs. Shutt was born September 3, 1941 in Bear Springs, TN to the late Bieth and Queenie Birks Wallace. She was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted Christian, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Shutt, son, Timothy Shutt, grandson. Damien Shutt, brothers, Gerald, Harry, Leon, Bobby, Shelby, Guy, and Roger Wallace and sisters, Violet Hayes and June Wallace.
Surviving her are her sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky Shutt of Eminence, MO, David Shutt of Springfield, TN, Keith Shutt of Dickson, TN, Guy and Amy Shutt of Evansville, IN, daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Curtis Lott of Lewisburg, KY, brother, B.W. (Peggy) Wallace of Granite City, IL, sisters, Peggy (Jesse) Somers of Poplar Bluff, MO, Freda Tucker with Max Rorie of Goodlettsville, TN, Ann (Benny) Warren of Shelbyville, TN, Nelda (Gary) Kingdon of St. Louis, MO, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
