Freddy Dale Rawls

Freddy Dale Rawls, 63, of Springfield, died Monday June 15, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday June 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Drew Rawls, Dale Rawls, Barry Knight, Kenneth Knight, Brad Crabtree, and Zak Taylor serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Rawls was born January 25, 1952 in Robertson County to the late William Preston "Billy" and Mary Jo Poole Rawls. He retired from the clerical division of CSX Railroad and was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church. Mr. Rawls loved bluegrass music, playing guitar, and spending time with his great nephews and niece. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: William Steven Rawls. Mr. Rawls is survived by his nephews: Drew Rawls and wife Michelle of Springfield, Dale Rawls and wife Andrea of Burns, his aunt: Doris Knight of Springfield, great nephews and niece: Cooper, Stevie, Greyson, Cash, and Sadie Rawls, and by his sister-in-law: Marsha Hogan of Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
