Frank A. Sneed

Frank A. Sneed, age 73, of Dot Road in the Barren Plains Community, died Wednesday August 20, 2014 at his family's residence. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday August 23, 2014 at 2 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Smith and Bro. Mike Trotter officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Memorial Gardens with Nicholas Valdez, Zachary Valdez, Michael W. Swilik, Clay Sneed, Bob Sneed, Darryl Herring, Mark Cox and Steve Wisener serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 am on Saturday until the hour of service at 2 pm.
Frank was born October 8, 1940 in Robertson County, TN to the late Henry Wilks and Katherine Holman Sneed. He was of the Methodist faith, a veteran of the United States Army, retired from Unarco as an inspector and a graduate of the Springfield High School Class of 1959. He was a loving father, grandfather, ex-husband and friend.
In addition to his parents, Frank was also preceded in death by his brothers; Henry Sneed and Jerry Sneed. Surviving him are his daughters and son-in-law; Karen Darlene Swilik of Indianapolis, IN and Leslie and Darryl Herring of Hendersonville, TN, ex-wife and best friend and mother of his children; Virginia L. Sneed of Hendersonville, TN, brother; Joe P. Sneed of Meredian, MS and grandchildren; Jennifer Swilik, Kathleen Swilik, Michael W. Swilik, Nicholas Valdez and Zachary Valdez.
