Datha Tate Munday

Datha Tate Munday, 76, or Orlinda, died Monday January 25, 2016 at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the Milldale Chapel with Dr. Bill Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Dustin Reynolds, James Stiles, Ben Ellis, Chris Tate, Chris Biggs, and Troy Sircy serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lanny Bernard, Billy Ray Dixon, Larry Pope, Pete Denning, Bill Swearingen, and Ray Redferin. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Milldale Chapel.

Mrs. Munday was born June 8, 1939 in Robertson County to the late Leonard Thomas and Velma Barry Tate. After graduating high school, she worked as a secretary for a period of time, but spent most of her time as a homemaker. Mrs. Munday was a lifelong member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She loved being outdoors, spending time with her dogs, and loved talking to people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Wilford "Buster" Munday, her brother: Jimmy Thomas Tate, and her beloved dogs: Rosie and Bonnie Blue.

Mrs. Munday is survived by her sister: Joyce Ann Reeves of Cross Plains, nieces: Iva (Chris) Biggs, Aimee (Troy) Sircy, and Beth (Earl) Bragg, nephew: Chris Tate, great nieces and nephews: Sadie, Josh, and Laura Jayne Biggs, Keeli and Jonah Tate, and Rachael Sircy, dear family friends: Ben and Tabetha Ellis of Cross Plains

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church building fund
