Christine Lassiter Obituary

Christine Lassiter, 98, of Springfield, died Thursday August 18, 2016 at her home. Graveside services will be conducted Friday August 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the Springfield Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Mrs. Lassiter was born February 10, 1918 in Cheatham County to the late Matthew D. and Nannie Pauline Sanders Duke. She was a homemaker and a member of the Springfield Kingdom Hall. Mrs. Lassiter enjoyed quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Franklin Lassiter, and by her son: Charles Lassiter. Mrs. Lassiter is survived by her son: Darrell Lassiter of Springfield, daughter: Emily Sue Walling of Louisville, daughter-in-law: Linda Lassiter of Springfield, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
