Billy Mac Head

Billy Mac Head, 83, of Adams, died Sunday July 9, 2017 at Alive Hospice Skyline Madison Campus. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday July 12th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Capps officiating. Interment will follow in the Bellwood Cemetery with Bobby Dean Bagby, Lynn Pitt, Scotty Cavender, Mark Bourne, Jacob Head, and Ed Anthony serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Head was born January 16, 1934 in Robertson County to the late Ernest and Hattie Mayo Head. He was retired from Pirelli/Armstrong and was a member of Red River Baptist Church in Adams. Mr. Head was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Red River Lodge 537, the Al Menah Temple, the Scottish Rite, and the Fisherman's Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Garry Mac Head, and by his brothers: Clarence, Rayburn, J.H., Ralph, Houston, Harold, Willard, Ernest, Jr., and Gerald "Joe" Head.

Mr. Head is survived by his wife of 63 years: Joyce Stroud Head of Adams, daughter and son-in-law: Cindy and Billy Vogle of Adams, brother: Bobby D. Head of Goodlettsville, grandchildren: Jill (Dustin) York, Will (Jessica) Vogle, Matt (Megan) Vogle, great grandchildren: Carter and Kinley York, Johnnie and Annie Vogle, Carter Ryan Vogle.
